Yesterday was one of those days that I want to bottle up for a rainy day. My best friend (and historic downtown neighbor) walked to the square for snacks at one of our favorite spots and packed down our strollers with necessities for a day out and about.
We strolled the neighborhood, making sure to take the side roads with the trees arching over the street, providing shade. We sniffed all of the blooming flowers, found a secret rose garden (truly, it was absolutely gorgeous) and spent the entire day talking and laughing. The babies snoozed on and off and the weather was absolutely perfect. I honestly wish there was a scratch and sniff button and that you could feel the sun shining and the slight cool breeze in the air.
Honestly, it was one of the most beautiful days. The colorful Spring day was exactly what I needed. I am all about the occasional April thunderstorm, however, I am ready for more sunny days spent outside than rainy ones spent inside. When Chad got home, we went on a little neighborhood stroll ourselves, using our new Ergo baby carrier. I love our friends, our pretty little downtown square we live on, all of the blooming Spring flowers and my two boys. My life is far from perfect, but I love to find joy in the little things. And today brought me LOTS of joy!
