I am so excited to share with you, a little collaboration I have been working on over the past few weeks. Lulu*s reached out to me and asked me to be a part of their “Galentines” collaboration. I was eager to say yes, as it involved picking a fellow blogger (who happens to be one of my best friends) and joining them on a Valentines date wearing some fun, frilly dresses.
I chose my adorably sweet and adorably cute friend, Cassie of Cassie Loree Photography. Not only does she share my love for clothing, she also shares a creative, artsy passion. We tend to love the details and the love that goes into making something special. We clicked the minute we met, and I’ll never, ever look back. I love that girl so much, I asked her to be my Galentine.
Here’s where the fun part for YOU comes in. With Valentines Day just around the corner, it’s a perfect time to get in the giving mood. And Lulu*s is doing just that!
Forget the flowers, treat yourself to fab frocks for Valentine’s day! Lulu*s is giving away an entire year of free dresses to one lucky gal (and her best pal) for all of 2015!!

Once again, the weekend has flown by. I always get a little sad as I snuggle into bed on Sunday night. Especially on weekends as wonderful as this past one was. Saturday morning was a beautiful one to wake up to. The sun was shining into our room, warming my face. Birds were chirping outside our windows. I thought maybe I had slept right through to Spring!
We quickly got dressed and headed to the square for coffee, not wanting to miss one second of the beautiful weather we were having outside. And of course, there was some treasure hunting. I never know what I’m looking for, but I love when I find something special. I stumbled upon a few vintage Nancy Drew books and snatched those up really quick. This kid is going to be a reader, just like his/her parents. Mark my word.
We grabbed lunch at one of our favorite spots on the square and then headed to the park to run the trails with our Penny girl. She loved being outside in the warm air, and it had been so long since she’d been out for an extended period of time! Just short, cold walks up until then. We chose a trail off the beaten path, so we could walk and talk by ourselves. I was definitely enjoying the extra attention Chad was giving me for being pregnant. He would turn around and say, “now watch for that limb” or “be careful, it’s really steep right here!”….always reaching out his hand. Now, I’m totally capable of walking/hiking by myself. But the extra attention? Totally not complaining. All that being said, the weekend was a wonderful one. And the weather was just glorious. It might just get me through the winter.
This is the outfit I wore on Saturday around our little square, and so many people had their eyes on my bump. It was an odd feeling, as I am normally self conscious about people peering at my tummy area. I realized after taking these pictures that this dress definitely made the belly pop! And also, the delicious sandwich i had just eaten probably helped a little!

My goodness, could it get any colder?
This arctic blast makes it hard to even get out of bed in the mornings!
I can proudly say that I feel as though I am over my complete and total exhaustion in the mornings, and have a little more energy to get out of bed and get dressed.
I’ve also found (as the bump gets bigger), my desire to actually get ready and pick out a cute outfit has dramatically changed. When I first found out I was pregnant, I pretty much wore leggings and whatever I found first in my closet. I was tired, bloated and just felt all the icks.
Now that I’m in my second trimester, my energy levels are finally gearing back up. Now, this doesn’t mean I don’t like to stay in bed a few extra minutes…but it’s nice to want to put time into getting ready again. I’m also looking forward to dressing the bump.
It has popped up (or should I say out) out of nowhere in the past week or so.
It’s been kind of fun, but also tricky! Dresses are my go to right now, as the buttons on my jeans are getting a little harder to come together these days!
That being said, I braved the cold, frigid, dreary temps this morning to snap a few pictures. I absolutely adore Monroe & Harlow and you’ve seen me wear several of her headbands before. She is so talented, and this burgundy braided knit headband might just be my favorite.
Also, Anikka was sweet enough to set up a little discount code for SigneRoo readers!
So at checkout, just use the code Signe20 for 20% off your entire order!
(only valid for the next 24 hours!)
Stay warm out there!

Winter in November?
I could hardly believe my eyes when I looked outside last night and saw snow falling. And not just falling, but sticking! That never happens in Texas (in November, at least)! I did a little happy dance when I woke up this morning to a thin dusting covering the ground. Everything looks magical when it’s sprinkled in white. Even if it’s just the tiniest amount of snow.
So bundled up weather has officially begun around here, and i’m not sad about it. I love layers. I love the possibility of what you can do with layers.
So bring on the snow and harsh wintery winds, Texas!
I’m ready for ya!
